Adia Fielder
Adia Fielder, Psy.M, is a fourth-year Clinical Psychology doctoral student at the Graduate School of Applied and Professional Psychology at Rutgers University. She currently works as a Behavioral Medicine extern at Cooper University Hospital in Camden, NJ, collaborating with the Psychiatry team on both the psychiatric inpatient unit and the consultation liaison service. In addition, Adia serves as a Behavioral Health counselor at Family Medicine in Monument Square, New Brunswick, NJ, providing short-term cognitive behavioral therapy to individual patients.
Adia’s clinical experience also includes co-facilitating a therapeutic support group for formerly incarcerated individuals who currently attend or have graduated from Rutgers University. She began her clinical journey working under Dr. Brian Chu at the Youth Anxiety and Depression Clinic, where she provided therapy to youth aged 9-17.
This coming fall, Adia will begin her internship at the New Jersey Veteran Affairs Healthcare System. Her professional mission is to offer compassionate, accessible mental health services to underserved communities, with a deep commitment to serving Black and brown populations.
