Shani "Virgo" Alicea
Shani “Virgo” Alicea is a celebrated dancer, choreographer, and educator with over three decades of dance experience. A proud New Jersey native, Shani has traveled coast to coast—from Los Angeles to Bermuda—teaching and choreographing Hip-Hop with her dynamic style and infectious energy. She graduated as Valedictorian and Dance major from Newark’s prestigious Arts High School, and later earned her BFA in Jazz Performance from the University of the Arts, where she was honored with both the Choreography and Outstanding Jazz Performance Awards.
Shani’s career spans appearances in dance magazines, national TV networks such as CBS and BET, feature films, commercials, and music videos. She also graced the Broadway stage in Cotton Club Parade at NYC’s City Center. In addition to her impressive performance career, she actively works with various dance and production companies across the tri-state area, creating high-energy performances for events including NBA Brooklyn Nets and NCAA college basketball halftime shows.
Currently, Shani balances her roles as a professional artist, wife, and mother, while continuing to inspire the next generation through her passion for dance and commitment to creative excellence.
